As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level.

We are looking for a recent graduate or graduating electrical engineer with a desire to tackle new challenges and enhance their existing skill base.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to gain consulting experience in building services design across a range of sectors. We have an excellent reputation among a diverse range of private and government clients. Our projects are equally diverse ranging from small fitouts to new large multi- story buildings. The variety of facilities includes commercial warehouses and offices, data centres, defence, airports, educational and health facilities, mixed-use projects, apartments and science laboratories. We pride ourselves on creating cutting edge sustainable designs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, carry out engineering designs for electrical building services that include lighting systems, power reticulation and building communications cabling systems.
  • Assist in the production of engineering drawings and specifications for building services projects.
  • Assisting senior professional engineers and project managers by carrying out more complex engineering design tasks using prescribed methods of engineering analysis, design or computation.
  • Continue to develop engineering and technical skills drawing upon education, training and available resources to apply advanced techniques and methods learned

Skills and experience

  • Recent, relevant electrical engineering qualifications
  • A basic knowledge of electrical theory and principles. Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, lighting design and communication services is desirable.
  • Self-motivation, a desire to tackle new challenges
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to your success in the role

Due to the nature of many of the projects in which we work, we would prefer applications from candidates with eligibility to hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
