Human Resources Assistant 

Akyra is a team of Brisbane-based Human Resource consultants providing HR advisory services and solutions for local and national business organisations.

A privately-owned company established in 2011, we offer customised human resource management solutions to our extensive client base.

The role

We work with clients on a retained, project or ad-hoc basis so there are many different ways you will support our clients including:

  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment to source candidates.
  • Maintain digital and electronic client documents in accordance with Akyra policies and procedures.
  • Organise meetings, travel and events.
  • Support client orientation and on-boarding for new employees.
  • Process documentation and prepare reports for human resource and people management.
  • Coordinate HR projects (surveys etc).
  • Assist with managing client requests regarding human resources and people management issues.
  • Assist with collating data that informs HR reports and metrics used by the business.
  • Support management of digital assets – e.g. review trending HR sites on LinkedIn (Hays, Qualtrics, Bernard Salt etc) and manage Akyra responses.

The benefits

Work hours are 8.45am - 5.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9-2 (Friday) with remuneration tailored to suit the successful person. Akyra offers paid study leave and reimbursement for gym membership or other health and well-being program. Working from home options can be discussed after a successful probation.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant with minimum 2 years experience who is looking for a variety of work with exposure to different industries sectors.

You will have a good understanding and application of Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards with exposure to the Fair Work Act 2009. You will have advanced computer skills, superior oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and negotiate and problem solve issues. You will have a high level of initiative and a preparedness to learn.
