ANSTO is committed to the health and well-being of its employees, research partners and contractors.
ANSTO’s Health and Wellbeing Programs offer annual flu vaccines and men’s and women’s health screening programs. The Lucas Heights campus offers a number of opportunities for sport and exercise, including a soccer field, swimming pool, and designated running tracks. Members of the ANSTO Social Club can join lunchtime and post-work sporting activities such as touch football, yoga, bush walking and cycling. The Social Club at Clayton also organises a range of activity and events throughout the year.
ANSTO also offers a Fitness Passport program, which provides unlimited access to 100+ fitness and wellness centres.
ANSTO provides an on- site physiotherapy service as part of early intervention for injury management and Return to Work program, together with a Health Centre with a registered nurse and fully-functioning treatment room. ANSTO has access to a wide range of specialist rehabilitation providers.
The ANSTO Employee Assistance Program provides a counselling and advisory service for all employees and immediate family to seek professional assistance for any personal wellbeing or work-related problem. Privacy is maintained at all times. This independent service provides professional, confidential counselling through their team of highly-qualified and experienced psychologists.
