2023 Talent and Culture Graduate Program

Activate your Career

Ready to kick start your career? ANZ has awesome Graduate Programs. If you're ready to learn, we're ready to show you the way. Our program will ensure you get 18 months of critical experiences as well as exposure to a diverse range of people, environments and situations before moving into a permanent role within the bank. Each of our key business areas in Australia and New Zealand has programs that offer multiple rotations. We also provide supportive coaching, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, training, networking and sponsorship from senior leaders.

We have programs in a range of our divisions including our Talent and Culture.

About the Talent and Culture Program

As a Talent and Culture Grad, you are in for a phenomenal 24-month program; consisting of four rotations across different areas of Talent and Culture. You will have the opportunity to explore some of the following business areas, including:

  • Grow to Perform

Want to help shape a culture that unleashes the potential of our people to build a better bank? Working within an agile squad, in this rotation you will focus on moments that matter to our employees. With the support of your squad, you will dive in to one of our employee journeys relating to learning, growing, or developing our employees, analysing that employee experience, searching for improvement opportunities, then working through how that improvement might be implemented.

  • Joiners and Movers

Are you excited about attracting the best talent to ANZ? Working within our highly energised recruitment team, you will learn how to use various sourcing methods and strategies to attract the best candidates in the market. You will use our Employee Value Proposition as a magnet for this talent, ensuring that ANZ is positioned as an employer of choice and an organisation they should consider for their next career move. Once they join ANZ, you will then focus on improving and enhancing the employee journey as they move positions within the bank, or should their tenure come to an end, ensuring they have an honourable exit experience as they leave the bank.

  • Working well

Are you passionate about helping people work together to create a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace? In this rotation you will be involved with initiatives to ensure we are creating a safe and positive work environment for all employees. With the support of your squad, you will also contribute to rewarding initiatives that impact and shape our culture, behaviour, and values. You will also seek to improve working arrangement and employee benefits, ensuring ANZ is genuinely a great place to work.

This graduate program presents an incredible opportunity to impact the employee experience for a large organisation on a global scale! We’ll be supporting your rotations with a mix of skills development, mentoring, regular one-on-one coffee catch ups and plenty of pizza and beer nights with other graduates as well as some senior people in Talent and Culture that you’ll love to learn from.

You’ll get to work on a graduate project in the first 6 months which lets you take ownership of a piece of work entirely! You’ll be supported by a project sponsor and a project coach, but it’ll be your project to deliver, or fail to deliver with. And that’s okay too because we celebrate failures!

Don’t worry if it all sounds a bit scary. It was for all of us grads but the best part of working in ANZ is having the support of everyone around you. You don’t have to know everything and have all the answers, we’re all one big team looking at how we can solve some tricky problems.
