ASIC recognises the importance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) inclusion. We aim to raise awareness about LGBTI issues and to provide support to our staff.
We also participate in the Pride in Diversity’s Australian Workplace Equality Index – a benchmark for LGBTI inclusion for Australian workplaces.
In 2017, ASIC marched at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and also participated at 2018 Fair Day in Sydney.
We celebrate International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia each year in May and Transgender Remembrance Day in November.
We also recently launched our LGBTI mentoring program.
The Rainbow Network has been established to raise the profile of LGBTI issues and to provide support to ASIC staff who identify as LGBTI.
