Cryptocurrency Research Analyst

 The Company 

Collective Shift is on a mission to help the everyday investor navigate the world of cryptocurrency through community and education. We are a growing scale-up company with individuals located in multiple regions across the globe but predominantly Melbourne, Australia.

In October 2020 we launched our education & research platform that now hosts over 5,500 members. We’re looking to rapidly scale up our company to deliver our platform on a global scale.

 The Role 

These roles will be heavily based in researching and creating new content for our membership platform. The roles will require a deep understanding of a wide range of cryptocurrency topics including; NFTs, Oracles, Layer 1, DeFi, Gaming, Governance, Financial valuations etc.

You will be responsible for identifying the most important content for our community and consistently delighting them with relevant and synthesized analysis of the cryptocurrency market.

As a startup business in the cryptocurrency industry, we tend to work in an very fast-paced environment. The ability to be flexible and agile in your role is paramount to success in the business, as your role may evolve rapidly.

What will you be doing?

  • Researching new assets in the blockchain ecosystem and translate findings into simple, actionable updates, reports and videos for our members
  • Analyse and predict upcoming themes and trends and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to our members.
  • Completing various research tasks as requested by Senior Research Analysts and the Head of Research & Written Content
  • Create a wide range of content mediums including, short text based updates, long-form reports, video content and podcast.
  • Identify and pursue research topics independently and/or as part of an assigned effort
  • Generate unique and insightful research content for internal and external distribution
  • Translate complex ideas into compelling, valuable and channel specific communications

Skills and Experience

  • Written & verbal communication is your forté; you can distill complicated topics into something clear and succinct with also the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • You have a deep understanding and passion for the cryptocurrency landscape as well as the ability to explain complex topics in an understandable, yet comprehensive way. 
  • You approach every situation with empathy and understanding
  • You are a self-starter who takes initiative and is energised even when a clear path isn’t laid out for you and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Has the ability to manage and prioritise a range of tasks, plan workloads and work to deadlines.
  • Have experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Understanding of economics, finance, trading, or banking is a plus.
  • Keen Problem-Solver and has experience writing reports or updating a blog
