Austin Health is a major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic Graduate Nurses, not eligible to register with PMCV (Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria), to join Austin Health in our Graduate Nurse Program (GNP) 2022.
We offer a well-supported GNP including a structured orientation program, ongoing paid study days, educational opportunities and supernumerary days for each of the two six-month rotations. Our dedicated Graduate Nurse Coordinator, Graduate Nurse Educator and our Clinical Education Unit are available to assist graduate nurses in this transition year for the duration of the program. Graduates are also supported by Nurse Unit Managers and preceptors in all areas.

The Graduate Nurse Program is a 54 week program, and upon successful completion of the program, ongoing employment may be offered at varying hours.

- Academic transcript – most up to date (must be an official transcript which has either been certified or has electronic certification).
- Two clinical appraisals - Acute and/or Specialty (must be no more than 10 pages and certified/electronic certification)

*Candidates will need to be available for interview immedietly after the advertising closing date.
All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing registration with AHPRA, a current satisfactory National Police Certificate conducted by Victoria Police and if required, a Working with Children Check.
