Austin Health ICU is a level 3 tertiary ICU currently operating 23 beds. Austin ICU provides complex, multisystem support to a broad range of patients including liver failure, liver transplant, spinal injured patients, neuro surgical, cardiac, thoracic, general surgical and medical and liver failure. ICU also offers ward support via the Critical Care Outreach team. Austin ICU has a strong research and teaching culture. 

An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic registered nurses with minimum 2 years Nursing experience to join our 2022 Intensive Care Postgraduate Nursing Course

The 12-month program runs in conjunction with Deakin University, our university partner. The course follows an established professional development framework which supports nurses to transition to critical care nurses. The program is supported by the Clinical Education team who have passion and commitment for supporting learners.

Successful applicants will be team focused with a commitment to ongoing learning.  A minimum 2 years acute surgical and medical nursing experience is a prerequisite to apply for this role.
