Stepping Into™ is a paid internship program designed for university students with disability who want to gain paid hands-on work experience in leading Australian businesses.
Whether you are confident of your next move or not sure which direction to take, Stepping Into opens the door to exploring career options in a supported learning environment.
The program offers students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the job application and interview process, develop a network of industry contacts, and gain meaningful, paid work experience.
“My internship has made a big difference. It has helped me be comfortable to just be myself. It is humbling and liberating.” – Chris Rodrigo, past Stepping Into intern.
You will gain valuable experience in your chosen field, and will have the opportunity to develop networking skills, contacts and social skills for your future in the workforce.
You will get the chance to showcase your skills and knowledge to leading Australian and international employers.
The internship will also equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience that will serve as a valuable attribute on your resume.
And, did we mention you get paid?
All employers in the Stepping Into internship program are Gold or Platinum members of the Australian Network on Disability (AND), a membership based not-for-profit organisation that actively works to create a more accessible Australia.
