Junior Project Manager 2022

Position Description:

This role will be strengthening and add support to our project management team. The role utilizes the skills of an experienced professional with a full understanding of project management methodologies, company policies, and procedures. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to deliver agreed-on solutions. Regular communication with senior external and internal personnel in their own area of expertise.

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager and developing your insights into the ins and outs of project management. You will be assigned to a variety of projects such as website and mobile apps design and development projects, website support and maintenance work, UI UX design, and VR and AR app development.

Responsibilities:

1. Meeting with client stakeholders and organizing meetings professionally to gather requirements.
2. Clients workshops - Gathering project details, documenting meeting minutes, creating proposals with deliverables and scope of work including timeline and budget.
3. Client account management - You will manage client expectations, remain on top of communication, and answer questions and concerns in a professional and logical manner.
4. Project Management - Daily standups, create an AGILE-based project plan using different tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, etc and assign tasks to relevant team members, manage project deliverables and timelines and deliver within budget.
5. Administrate, manage, maintain and drive adherence to project documentation methods and systems, to ensure transparent, effective project delivery.
6. Manage geographically diverse clients working in different time zones.
7. Manage offshore teams.
8. QA - Responsible for conducting regular health checks with the client for the running project to ensure adherence to set coding standards.
9. Develop strong client and project stakeholder relationships to understand their needs and deliver agreed outcomes.

Requirements:

1. A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
2. Two years plus experience in working with a digital agency as a project manager and a desire to learn existing processes and also to strengthen them where necessary.
3. Demonstrating professional, clear communication (verbal/written) skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Experienced in managing offshore teams.
6. Logical, systematic, and conscientious when approaching projects, tasks, and problems
7. Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development industry.
8. Enthusiastic about learning digital project management practices, AGILE development methodologies, UX/UI, website, and branding principles.
9. Familiar with programming and artistic design processes
10. Confident in your ability to lead and contribute to a team
11. Skilled in using project management applications (eg. Jira, Asana, Trello, etc).
