Planning and Surveying Internship Program

CareerDC coordinates internship programs by connecting students with host organisations all over Australia.

The internships, which are practical work-placement programs designed to provide the intern with professional training in the property market with the aim of providing industry specific opportunities is to enable the intern to develop skills that will enhance their prospects of gaining meaningful employment, building the student’s career and starting their future.

Planners and Surveyors work together to complete works that are crucial to the success of projects in communities, town planning and even on a global scale. They take the responsibility of taking measures in a build and natural environment, deciding on the land use and keeping urban growth in check.

Planners and Surveyors are separate roles that take on different ranges of products however they work in a cohesive space. It is described as ‘surveyors are the eyes and ears of the planner on the ground and in technical spaces’, as planners direct the working force through survey date and planning requirements.
