Halve Waste Education Officer (part time)

This important role delivers education programs to the community, schools and businesses that sustains and grows the Halve Waste program.
  • Part Time 17-25 hours/week
  • $41 + per hour
  • Contract up to 12 months

The Position This position works part time in collaboration with their team to deliver education programs to the community, schools and businesses that sustains and grows the Halve Waste program through, engagement, analysis and marketing activities in line with the Halve Waste objectives and strategies Qualifications & experience 
  • Qualifications in Environment, Sustainability, Education or related discipline, or relevant working experience
  • Class C (standard) Driver’s Licence compulsory to have and maintain
  • Demonstrated experience working in a waste management, environment, sustainability or education environment
Tasks & responsibilities 
  • Develop, implement and deliver education programs relating to Halve Waste for community groups, schools and businesses.
  • Develop and maintain Halve Waste website, social media content and promotional material relating to Halve Waste.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and consistent educational message.
  • Deliver progress reports and data analytics on the Halve Waste Education Programs.
  • Promote and support participation in the Halve Waste program to schools, business and community groups.
This role will  
  • Be temporary for up to 12 months
  • Attract a salary of $41.51 to 45.66 per hour + 10.5% Superannuation
  • Based on a 35 hour week, working 17- 25 hours per week, with actual days and times being to be negotiated with the supervisor.
