  • People & Culture Associate (specialising in Talent Acquisition) - 12-month contract

Recruitment Officer

The Recruitment Officer role is responsible for providing dedicated support to the Talent Acquisition Associate with end-to-end recruitment processes including:

  • Assisting in managing internal relationships between hiring Managers and the People & Culture team by coordinating correspondence and following up on required documentation, including formatting interview questions and file setup;
  • Coordinating the setup of roles in specialised recruitment software platforms;
  • Assisting in the creation and distribution of social media promotion pertaining to recruitment;
  • Assisting with recruitment reporting and data analysis;
  • Participating in the interview process of advertised roles as required;
  • Assisting in coordinating interviews and scheduling health assessment appointments; and
  • Contributing positively to the workplace culture by developing strong relationships across the business


People & Culture Associate – specialising in Talent Acquisition

The Talent Acquisition role is responsible for facilitating the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers to achieve successful talent sourcing including:

  • Partnering with hiring managers to build strong working relationships by providing excellent servicing and advice to achieve their recruitment goals;
  • Coordinating and managing the setup of roles in specialised recruitment software platforms;
  • Act as a client liaison for hiring managers and candidates alike, creating a positive and engaging user experience;
  • Creation and distribution of social media promotion pertaining to recruitment;
  • Recruitment reporting and data analysis;
  • Facilitating the interview process of advertised roles as required;
  • Liaise with the Recruitment Officer or People & Culture Administrator to coordinate interviews and pre-employment check appointments; and
  • Contributing positively to the workplace culture by developing strong relationships across the business.



  • Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Communications/Marketing, Customer Service, Business Administration or similar or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in a Recruitment role and understanding of the end-to-end process;
  • Demonstrated experience using a range of corporate and specialised software programs including the Microsoft suite;
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal;
  • Understanding of the local government environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and apply great organisation and time management techniques;
  • A passion for fostering team culture and positively contributing to the success of the broader team;
  • Current Drivers Licence; and
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.

  • Council offers flexible working arrangements by mutual agreement according to operational requirements (condensed hours, job share, 19 day months, 9 day fortnights, time in lieu as approved)

Salary Ranges

Recruitment Officer $1,163.70 - $1,259.20 per week plus allowances and superannuation.

People & Culture Associate $1,291.00 - $1,397.00 per week plus allowances and superannuation.
