About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, People Strategy & Business Partnering, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of strategic projects, operational duties, and organisational wide application of best practice HR.

Skills & experience

• Local Government experience preferred
• Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Extensive experience in Human Resources with demonstrated track record in applying best practices and contemporary HR principles, models and frameworks
• Experience working across multiple HR facets, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, HR project delivery, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR systems and analytics, and policy development
• Extensive experience in understanding and interpreting Federal, State and Local Legislation in the context of Local Government employment issues
• Demonstrated experience in providing the Award and policy advice to staff
