Project Officers

The Opportunity

We have two exciting opportunities for driven individuals to oversee and assist with civil restoration and/or capital projects. These positions sit within our Infrastructure and Services team or our Waste Services team.

As a Project Officer, you will assist in the development and management of projects and be responsible for monitoring project expenditure, completion of grant funding obligations and preparing relevant progress reports and acquittals (as required). You will administer project design, tender and contract documentation (in consultation with BVSC procurement team) and formalise engagements of contractors and consultants. 

About You

We are seeking individuals who holds a Diploma level qualification in Project Management or another relevant field (indicative) and have three (3) to five (5) years relevant experience.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated high-level project management skills including the ability to work independently and to be able to complete multiple projects within budget and timeframe.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget and resource management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with and managing consultants, sub-contractors and construction staff.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effective negotiate.

These are fixed term (grant funded) full-time positions working 35 hours per week for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Remuneration is $1471.70 per week, plus 10% employer superannuation contribution.
