The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural, and open spaces. About you In your new role you will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, State and Local Environmental Plans, with regard to development assessment. The Town Planner role requires a pro-active, enthusiastic person who has good problem solving and interpersonal skills, and good persuasive skills when seeking agreement, discussing issues and resolving problems with people at all levels. About the role The position comprises the following major components: • Provide assessment services which are timely and ensure that public safety and amenity are protected and ensuring all statutory components are complied with • Represent Council in proceedings in the Land & Environment Court • Provide a high level of customer service in the provision of planning advice and information concerning development proposals Benefits of working with us!
