About the Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Town Planner who is keen to kick-start their career working in a professional team environment. You will be involved in a range day-to-day activities including:

  • The efficient and timely determination of Development Applications
  • Subdivision certificates
  • Preparation of reports involving assessment and regulatory matters
  • Involvement in proceedings in the Land and Environment Court of NSW

You will also make recommendations to guide decisions on Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates and be proactive in resolving issues together within your team.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:  

  • Town Planning or related tertiary qualifications or experience in development assessment
  • Knowledge of the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and an ability to interpret legislation
  • Ability to prepare expert legal evidence and appear as a credible expert witness
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement strategies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Office Apps, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Class C Driver Licence
  • Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
