About the role

This position is a full time role in the Technical Services team and based at the Moruya Administration Office.

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing activities of the Local Traffic Committee.
  • Develop traffic facility programs and traffic models in accordance with the work plan.
  • Identify, pursue and complete grant funding applications.
  • Develop, monitor and review the pedestrian access mobility plans (PAMPS) for all major traffic precincts on a priority basis.
  • Traffic data collection.
  • Project coordination of minor civil works projects.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $97,950.01 to $119,629.40 gross per annum consisting of:

  • $88,642.54 to $108,261.90 base salary
  • $9,307.47 to $11,367.50 superannuation (at 10.5%)
  • 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance may apply

About you

Would you like to weave some of your traffic engineering magic to plan, design, and co-ordinate traffic related activities?  This role provides a great opportunity for a highly skilled and forward-thinking individual to ensure the Eurobodalla continues to have well-planned, safe and effective roads, drainage and other public infrastructure for the local community. To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent with suitably developed experience and knowledge and personal involvement on work of a similar responsibility.
  • Experience with road design principles and standards.
  • Traffic management skills.
  • Ability to create a harmonious teamwork environment and supervise a small team.
  • Strong communication skills including preparation of complex reports and the ability to liaise with the public and other government agencies.
  • Experience using of Microsoft Office applications and specialised Traffic Analysis and/or Engineering Design software (AutoCAD).
