At CUB, we are introducing new ways of working that help assist our employees with disabilities and make our company a more inclusive place to work. This is all new for us, so to lead the way, we have founded the CAN – CUB Ability Network.
CAN has been working hard to ensure that we are making CUB an accessible place to work for all peoples. This has included working closely with the Australian Network on Disability and running workshops to first determine the issues that employees with disabilities are frequently forced to face, and then outlining solutions that we as a company can implement.
Some of the immediate changes and policies that have been implemented to assist our people include motorised standing desks – helping create a workspace that can be fitted to each persons desired specifications. We are also keen observers of flexible working – allowing our people to cater their working experience to suit them.
There is more work to be done in this area, but we are excited to continue moving forward and creating a workplace that is both accessible and welcoming to all people.
