Accounting Internship – Achiever Program Winter 2023

 Facilitated by Chartered Accountants ANZ, the Achiever Program is an internship program designed for accounting students.  

We have partnered with over 90 businesses across Australia and New Zealand to offer paid* work placements for penultimate and final year accounting students. The Program offers a wide range of internships across different sectors, including small and medium practices, mid-tiers corporate and government etc.  See our participating employers here. 

The precise work to be performed is dependent on each employer but the Program has opportunities available across the following service lines:  

• Audit / Assurance 
• Business Advisory / Services 
• SMSF 
• Tax 
• Technology / Data Analytics 
• Business Restructuring/ Recovery Services 
• Corporate Finance 
• Forensic services 
• Financial Accounting 
• Management Accounting 

Participating employers are expected to offer interns placements for a minimum period of 3 weeks between July and August 2023.  

About you  

• Currently in your penultimate or final year of an accounting degree or major at a university or polytechnic  
• Passion for accounting with a willingness to learn and grow 
• Strong leadership experience, i.e. leadership positions in clubs, team, societies etc. 
• Well-rounded life experience i.e. involved in & contributes to the community 
• English proficiency score above IELTS 6.5, CAE 176, TOEFL 79-93 or PTE 58.5 
• Currently residing in Australia or New Zealand
