Who we are
Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies and through its Australian subsidiaries, has been present in Australia for 70 years. Chevron Australia operates two of Australia’s largest natural gas developments – the Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects, manages an equal one-sixth interest in the North West Shelf Venture and operates Australia’s largest onshore oilfield on Barrow Island. With the ingenuity and commitment of thousands of people, Chevron Australia - headquartered in Perth – is the focal point of some of Chevron’s most exciting projects globally and our employment opportunities will put you on the frontline to help deliver crucial new energy to the world.
At Chevron, we believe the future of energy is lower-carbon, and we are using our unique capabilities, assets, and expertise to deliver progress toward the global net-zero ambitions of the Paris Agreement. We strive for actions that drive measurable progress toward a lower-carbon future and believe society and investors want to see the results we are delivering today and hear our goals for the future. Our New Energies organization is focused on areas where we believe we can build competitive advantages and that target sectors of the economy that cannot be easily electrified. Hydrogen, Carbon Capture Utiliation Storage (CCUS), and offsets are at the core of this strategy and are an important part of the solution to the challenges of meeting the growing demand for affordable, reliable energy and addressing climate change.
