Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG) is looking for Summer Interns to join the Investment Banking team in Australia. The Investment Banking group advises corporate clients who want to raise funds in capital markets and who need strategic support in financial transactions. Initiatives you may be working on with clients include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting, and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities. If none of these terms make sense right now, that’s ok! As an Investment Banking Summer Intern, you will join an intensive training program where you will learn the fundamentals of the Summer Intern role and Citi’s culture.

We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.

We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The program starts with an intensive training program that comprises of orientation sessions coupled with on-the-job training. Training will include advanced accounting concepts; valuation techniques; Citi's library and information services; and an overview of Citi's key financial products. You will also be able to meet and network with Citi professionals from all parts of the bank through Citi's formal mentor program and Summer Social events; both of which are great opportunities to hear people's experiences and learn more about the firm. Once you complete the program; you will be eligible for a full-time offer.

Your time here will look something like this...

As a Summer Analyst, you will join an intensive 11-week summer program in Melbourne where you will receive in-depth education on a variety of these topics to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role. You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects as if you were a full-time analyst / associate - this is not a "survey" or "shadow" position. In addition, you will also be able to attend several informal networking events, lunches and be partnered with a buddy on a mentoring program to allow you to learn the ropes of banking.

  • Dynamic with exceptional analytical skills
  • You have demonstrated strong leadership; teamwork; and communication skills
