Graduate Software Developer role in Brisbane

Clear Objective is the sole owner and developer of Clear Enterprise, a fully integrated ERP solution designed for medium-sized businesses.

Based in the Brisbane CBD, Clear Objective's operations include the complete scope of ERP software delivery from software development, project management, customisation, application delivery to ongoing support.

The Role

Work with the development, support, and/or implementation teams to assist senior staff to manage, enhance, and maintain Clear Objective's suite of business software solutions. The role offers successful applicants the opportunity to work with a range of new technologies.

A broad range of activities under the guidance and supervision of senior developers, including:

• Software development (C++, PHP, Javascript)
• Data structure design, mapping and conversion
• System and database administration
• Support of infrastructure (hardware, network and system software)
• Script writing/modification for modification and/or loading/unloading data to and from databases
• Report writing/modifications
• Software function and data verification testing

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a major ERP software upgrade
• Support and maintain existing software Applications
• Working with the development team to investigate and resolve issues
• Provide assistance to the Consulting and Support team

Key Requirements:

• Good personal skills, including personal presentation 
• Good desktop skills, especially Microsoft Office
• Ability to problem solve
• Willingness to work to delivery targets
• Solid understanding of infrastructure (hardware, network and system software)

Highly regarded Skills (but not essential):

• Experience with web services design and development as well as technologies such as SOAP and REST APIs
• Experience working with code repositories, such as subversion and GIT
• Virtual machine knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems and similar business-related software
• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Understanding of sales, purchasing, warehousing and accounting business processes
• Relational database development and administration experience
• PHP frameworks and WordPress

Other Advantageous Requirements:

• Experience with web services design and development as well as technologies such as SOAP,      WSDL and XML Schema
• Javascript, AJAX and Flutter development experience (web solutions)
• Experience with SQL
