Graduate/Assistant Waterway Engineer - 2 year fixed term contract

About the Role

Council is currently seeking applications for the position of a Graduate/Assistant Waterway Engineer for a 2 year fixed term period. Reporting to the Team Leader Biodiversity, Coastal and Flooding, this role is responsible for developing studies, policies and strategies in relation to floodplain management, and providing information and advice regarding the flood planning aspect of land use planning including development applications.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and relevant experience in a similar role. To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying current NSW Environmental, Planning and Local Government legislation as well as the following licences/tickets:

  • National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard).
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
