Coles is proudly Australian with a heritage dating back to 1914 when George J. Coles opened the first Coles variety store in Collingwood, Victoria. Today Coles provides fresh food, groceries, general merchandise, liquor, fuel and financial services to more than 20 million customers each week through its store network and online platform.

We have more than 100,000 team members and operate 2,386 retail outlets nationally including 776 supermarkets, 858 liquor stores, 90 hotels and 662 convenience outlets located from as far south as Blackmans Bay in Tasmania to as far north as Casuarina in the Northern Territory.

The Coles Graduate Programs

Our Graduate Programs are accelerated leadership development programs with exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunities with real responsibility and accountability. The programs have specifically-designed curriculum and graduates are supported with ongoing training, coaching and a robust support network of leaders across the business, ensuring a challenging and rewarding 2 years.

At Coles we offer 2 primary Graduate Programs; Operations and Store Support Centre. Our Operations Graduate Program is tailored to developing strong commercial acumen, exceptional customer services and outstanding leadership skills to emerge as a Store Manager after the completion of the 2 year accelerated program. Our Store Support Graduate Program is a generalist program that enables you to rotate through many different teams so you can discover what you really love!
