Implementation Consultant - Melbourne

The Implementation Consultant works on marketing technology platforms. This is primarily delivering solutions in on Salesforce marketing products, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, within the Technical Services team. It is one of the most important members of our team. Like a master builder they take the plan and bring it to reality through a mix of strong technical skill, teamwork and consultation. Never content with just doing what they’ve been asked, these consultants apply critical thinking to every step of the projects they undertake, always seeking to ensure that what is being delivered truly meets their customer’s needs.

In addition to other duties which may be from time to time assigned by Company, the initial position duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical liaison primarily on Sales Marketing Cloud, but also other marketing technology and Salesforce products such as Social Studio, Advertising Studio and DMP
  • Building solutions to meet marketing goals and improve customer experience using best-in-class marketing technology
  • Lead technical aspects of projects related to email, mobile and web campaigns and CRM initiatives
  • Work with the customer’s marketing team, and key stakeholders to understand marketing campaign requirements and inputs, such as data structures, program automation requirements, degree of personalization, integrations and overall creative approach
  • Create emails and landing pages using HTML and inline CSS
  • Leverage scripting languages such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s AMPscript and SSJS to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content
  • Develop robust technical documentation
  • Conduct technical unit and solution testing and validation
  • Support documentation process by providing applicable artefacts (code samples, screenshots, etc.)

Required skills/experience

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and internal customer schedules with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a tight-knit team and in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in developing SQL and experience with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle or MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge in HTML, XML, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, JQuery
  • Knowledge of developing against SOAP and REST based APIs
  • Experience with one or more server-side programming language such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python
  • Familiarity with CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce and Web Analytics platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption preferred
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  • An understanding of Digital Marketing and its objectives. Experience working in a marketing organisation or interacting with marketing organisations as a supplier/vendor would be advantageous
