Department of Finance

Finance is committed to increasing the representation of people with a disability in the workforce, by identifying and removing barriers to employment and career progression. We aim to build a stronger understanding and improve employment opportunities for people with disability in line with As One: Making it Happen, APS Disability Employment Strategy 2016-19.

The Ability Network was established in 2017 to support our staff and improve opportunities for people with disability, including those with mental health conditions and carers of people with disability. The Network is working to increase the department’s disability confidence, support members to fulfil their career aspirations, and increase awareness throughout the department of the valuable skills and talents of employees with disability.
