Rural Products Career Development Program
We are looking for our next generation of Rural Product professionals to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
We are seeking passionate people who are motivated to develop a career in Rural Products and help our farmers maximise production. The Elders Rural Products program has been specifically designed by our Rural Products leaders, to deliver practical, hands-on training, which will develop the skills necessary to establish a rewarding career at Elders.
Over our 12-month program, you will be fully supported as you develop your sales skills and product knowledge. There will be a strong focus on relationship building, with opportunities to network with other professionals, industry leaders and our farmers on a daily basis. There will also be an emphasis on learning all aspects of branch operations, rural products and the broader Elders network.
At the end of the 12-month program, you will be ready to launch a rewarding career at Elders.
Learning opportunities
- Work shoulder to shoulder with our network of professionals in a branch setting, learning about Elders, the agriculture industry and the critical role rural products plays is driving our business
- You will participate in dedicated workshops and training events with your rural products cohort
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products to deliver a high level of customer service to our farmers, adding value to their business
- Form strong relationships with our farmers, suppliers, and the Elders network
- Build business-critical skills in sales, inventory management, and product forecasting.
- You will have a dedicated mentor who will show you the ropes and help you explore the career opportunities that exist in rural products at Elders
About you
- Experience or familiarity with agriculture is not essential but a passion for our industry is
- A desire to build a long-term retail sales career with Elders in Rural Products
- Previous customer service or sales experience is highly regarded Motivated, team player and curiosity to learn
- An ability to build connections and form relationships with ease
