About the role 

The Graduate Program unlocks your potential, allowing you to develop experience and gain exposure within the Mining Engineering function, and on site.  At Evolution we want to be the highlight of your careers. Some of the key result areas in this role may include: 

  • Fulfill the requirements of the Graduate Program, including attendance at all formal workshops and webinars, and completion of assignments and deliverables to the designated timeframe 
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans and schedules. 
  • Provide timely and accurate preparation of drill and blast plans. 
  • Complete drill, blast and production daily data entry and maintain the database to a high quality. 
  • Provide support to the Mining Manager to ensure that mining production schedules are set and maintained in line with the annual budget. 
  • Assist where required, with the development and implementation of long-term strategic planning. 
  • Monitor production overbreak and underbreak and identify any potential areas for improvement. 
  • Conduct QA/QC on production activities including drill hole deviation and charge quality. 
  • Work closely with the Geology department to ensure all scheduled grade control drilling is prioritised in weekly plans. 
  • Work closely with the Mining Department to identify any potential cost saving initiatives. 
  • Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution. 

N.B. Should you successfully fulfill all requirements of the two-year Graduate Program, you will be offered a permanent role in the business.   

About you 

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:  

  • Qualifications in Mining Engineering. 
  • A high degree of safety awareness with proven hazard identification and risk assessment skills. 
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule work 
  • Confident oral communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Competent user of MS Office tools
