Key Responsibilities

Financial Control and Accounting

  • Assist in the preparation of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of revenue calculations and customer fee invoices
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring financial compliance with AFS Licence requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly board papers including financial statement analysis and dividend / capital management recommendations
  • Assist with the delivery of annual financial statements and clearance of audit queries
  • Assistance with development of a control environment consistent with SOX compliance
  • Updating and documenting procedures. This includes an opportunity to identify, suggest and implement ongoing process improvements within the Financial Reporting team

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Assist in the FSI Group forecasting process which will involve developing an understanding of all drivers of business performance
  • Assist in the delivery of accurate, timely and relevant performance information and insights to drive business decisions
  • Assist in implementing ongoing process improvements, including continuing to drive efficiencies and analytics using the new Workday/Adaptive Planning & Prism systems;

Required Capabilities

  • Accounting/finance related degree and/or studying towards accounting qualification advantageous
  • Microsoft suite, Advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and business writing skills
  • A strong control mindset with an ambition to move into a commercial role
