You will then be contacted by a member of our Talent Acquisition Team to discuss your experience, the opportunities at GB, and the selection and interview process. This is generally known as our phone screen process, being the first step of the interview process.
You will have the opportunity to meet with the Hiring Manager for an initial, behavioural-based interview, which may be held in person or virtually. The first interview is generally a cultural and behavioural blend of questioning, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your previous experience and transferrable skills, as well as your interest in the organization, our values and the role you are interviewing for. If you are successful through the interview process, you will generally undertake reference checks, compulsory police checks and if necessary, a short psychometric test.
If you aren’t successful on your first go, don’t become disheartened! Interviews are practice, and the Talent Acquisition Team are there to support and advise. You can always remain in touch with the TA team, and keep abreast of future opportunities via our Careers page.
Graduate Program
Although we do not currently have an established graduate program at GB, as the business grows we are continually to look for great emerging talent to join our family for a variety of entry-level roles across the business. Internships
Aligned conveniently with most university’s summer breaks, our 3-month Internship Program generally run from January to February. At the end of the experience, you’ll receive detailed feedback on your performance to reflect on! The Careers page has all the information you need to seek out any internship opportunities at GB. The internship program provides a fantastic opportunity to work across one of our business units, from claims, workers compensation, general insurance, and more.
