To help facilitate transitions into our Graduate program, our internship experience is designed for students in their penultimate, or second-to-last year of studies, however, is open to students from earlier years as well.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for Engineers & Scientists of all types, Planners and Project Management students to join our program in 2023 across our Hobart, Burnie and Launceston offices with a range of positions available across the following business groups. If you have a preference for one or more of these areas, you’ll be able to highlight this in your application.
- Energy (Transmission & Distribution, Substation Engineering, Traction Power, Renewables)
- Resources (Materials Handling, Tailings & Dams, Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering)
- Environmental (Contaminated land, Ecology, Flora & Fauna, Aqualab, Approvals & Planning, Sustainability)
- Transport (Roads, Rail, Bridges, Materials Engineering, Tunnels, Traffic & Transport Planning)
- Water (Hydrology, Surface Water, Infrastructure & Design, Stormwater, Waste Water Treatment & Process Engineering)
- Property & Buildings (which includes Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Mechanical, Electrical & Hydraulic Building Services, Building Structures, Civil, Waste Management)
- Project Management (Controls & Contracts Management, External PM services)
- Engagement, Communications & Communities
All our summer internship positions commence in late November / early December (depending on your exam timetable) and will run across the summer break in a full time capacity until late February. If your university runs a Trimester schedule, we will work around your dates to ensure you can participate as much as is possible during your break.
