Job Description - Assistant Accountant
This well-established travel company are looking for an elite Assistant Accountant to join their growing team!
This is a great opportunity to hit the ground running and assist in a vast variety of tasks including, accounts payable and receivables, net payments, supplier payments, invoicing and lots more.
Job responsibilities - Assistant Accountant
- In this Accountant Role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Account payables and receivables
- Process supplier payments and invoices
- Liaise with suppliers to follow up with outstanding payments
- Process all refunds and ensure they are sent to the correct agent
- Bank and card reconciliations
- Process net payments, commissions and non-commissionable
Job requirements - Assistant Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience in the travel industry is highly desirable
- Attitude is everything!
- 1-2 years of accounting experience is highly desirable
- Experience or knowledge of Polar online systems is highly desirable
- Experience working with foreign currency (highly desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication
