Job Description - Assistant Accountant

This well-established travel company are looking for an elite Assistant Accountant to join their growing team!
This is a great opportunity to hit the ground running and assist in a vast variety of tasks including, accounts payable and receivables, net payments, supplier payments, invoicing and lots more.

Job responsibilities - Assistant Accountant

• In this Accountant Role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Account payables and receivables
• Process supplier payments and invoices
• Liaise with suppliers to follow up with outstanding payments
• Process all refunds and ensure they are sent to the correct agent
• Bank and card reconciliations
• Process net payments, commissions and non-commissionable

Job requirements - Assistant Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience in the travel industry is highly desirable
• Attitude is everything!
• 1-2 years of accounting experience is highly desirable
• Experience or knowledge of Polar online systems is highly desirable
• Experience working with foreign currency (highly desirable)
• Strong written and verbal communication
