About the role
 
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you’ll get the opportunity to apply what you’ve studied – working in the field solving real-world challenges, challenges that span and extend beyond your discipline.  You will have the opportunity to gain valued experience in engineering design, reliability and project management rotating throughout the different working areas.

The Engineering teams have a strong working relationship with the mining assets and life cycle management team. There is a strong focus on preventative maintenance and delivering consistent results.  Whether it is working underground, on HV projects, or in the Coal Handling preparation plants, your exposure to the full range of Electrical Engineering projects is unprecedented. 

A typical day will involve working under the guidance of an experienced team, assisting with designing, developing, supporting the installation, operations and maintenance of electrical systems for both open cut and underground mining operations.  In addition, you will also be provided with opportunities to work on electrical systems used for computing, communications and other industrial applications. Seeing the effort you invest, resolve risk and improve our business is rewarding but not without its hurdles and this will challenge your problem-solving curiosity.
 
 The successful applicant will have   :

  • A Bachelor of   Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics) or similar ;
  • Graduated from university within the last 2 years
