About the Role

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will be rotated through different mine sites bringing unique experiences and developing a well-rounded experience.  You will primarily identify opportunities for improvement and implement process solutions to maximise CHPP throughput, operational time and metallurgical recovery. You will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the resource production chain from mine development through to the port, with a large focus on coal quality and resource recovery.

Your responsibilities will include reducing unit operating cost per tonne, upskilling processing plant personnel and contributing to daily, weekly and monthly production plans. You will work closely with production supervisors and processing plant teams in order to achieve cost and production targets. The opportunity to spend time with the operations teams learning how to operate the processing plants will be provided at each rotation, alongside gaining an understanding of asset management and improving plant availability through working with the maintenance teams. There will also be opportunities to complete site improvement projects and work with innovative teams focusing on future facing technologies such as coal to hydrogen projects. About you:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical/Metallurgical/Minerals Processing/Process) or similar;
  • Graduated from university within the last 2 years
