About the role

GV Health is excited to offer a Graduate Program to applicants that have sucessfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery and gained AHPRA registration as a Midwife for 2022. The program will include rotations through Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Postnatal & Special Care Nursery. Supernumerary shifts will be allocated at the commencement of each rotation to ensure a smooth transition and time to familairise to a new area.

This position supports the transition from student to newly graduated midwife, ensuring that learning needs are met and well supported. GV Health provides many opportunities with learning packages available during the program. As a Regional hospital, there are many opportunities for learning, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to consolidate practice.

You will be offered a permanent roles as a Registered Midwife on successful completion of this program.

We are looking for

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife for 2022
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate and engage with multidisciplinary teams in a professional manner.
  • Being self motivated, caring, compassionate, posesses excellent clinical and time management skills.
  • Able to navigate computer systems at an intermediate level.
