YOUR experience

As a vacationer at Grant Thornton, you deserve the best start to your career, we want you to learn more, not be limited to all possibilities and discover exactly what you’re capable of.

You will have the opportunity to get to know us, our clients and start learning more about yourself. This 4-6 week placement offers you a unique insight into what it’s like to provide real advisory services to our clients, experience what life might be like as a Graduate in one of the world’s leading professional services firms and have the opportunity to fast track your career. All this before you even finish your studies!

You may choose to work in one of Audit & Assurance, Tax, Private Business, Financial Advisory or Consulting where you’ll get stuck in with real responsibility, working alongside business leaders to support a wide variety of dynamic and emerging businesses. There’ll be challenges along the way, but you’ll be supported and able to meet each one with a solution.

You’ll also get to know your new colleagues, fellow vacationers and our business, purpose and vision by participating in our clubs and committees, attending networking and social events, undertaking projects with a social/community impact and receiving mentoring and feedback from your assigned coach.

At the end of the program, you’ll have gained a wide range of skills and experience which will support your learning and development through the remainder of your studies and beyond.  A successful vacation experience program could also fast track your career too, as we aim to recruit new graduates straight from our own program.

In addition to this, you will be in your penultimate or final year of study, (ie 2nd year of a 3 year degree/ 4th year of a 5 year degree etc); and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.
