Right through the program you’ll have access to all the support you need, but the ultimate responsibility for shaping your career will be yours. You and your manager will have open, honest conversations about your progress and your plans for the future. We believe in mentoring and coaching so there will be no shortage of people to give you interesting insights and expert career advice.
In 2020 we are offering positions within our Commercial Management program streams. Both programs offer three to four rotations that will challenge and support you to grow both professionally and personally. These rotations will see you develop a range of essential business skills, while building a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
Commercial Management, Consumer Healthcare
Here, you’ll work with household names that are known in more than 100 countries worldwide. You’ll also have the chance to explore new products and markets, launch innovations quickly and further our brands using real consumer insight. Your rotations will be across our sales and marketing functions, where you’ll take on valuable roles and gain wide-ranging experience across the Consumer Healthcare Commercial business.
In the sales rotation, you’ll work in a customer-facing role. This will give you an invaluable first-hand insight into how our consumers engage with our products. You’ll learn about areas including product merchandising, customer education, new product launches, sales planning, forecasting and stock planning. If you strive for targets, take responsibility and are great at building relationships, you’ll thrive in our talented sales team.
In the marketing rotation, expect to work in areas such as shopper marketing and brand/category management. You’ll learn about our brands, gather insights into consumer and buyer preferences and understand which factors influence overall sales. There’ll be the opportunity to work on media campaigns, brand activations and product launches, while learning how we analyse brand performance and optimise consumer engagement. All this calls for strong analytical skills, an ability to work cross-functionally and a good understanding of customers.
Commercial Management, Pharmaceuticals
We’re working to make our products accessible to more people, no matter where they live in the world or what they can afford to pay. Our pharmaceutical commercial teams play a big part in this by understanding our patients, consumers and customers, and developing innovative strategies.
You’ll have three to four stretching rotations that will give you a breadth of experience across the core areas of the commercial business. These rotations cover sales, marketing and a third area which could be outside of commercial functions or Pharmaceuticals. This way, you gain a broad and fascinating insight into the entire business.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
