Mentorship (Graduate/Novice nurse) Program

RN/EN Mentorship Program

  • Acute Surgical & Rehabilitation Unit
  • February 2022 Intake
  • 6 Month / Part Time Program (64 hours per fortnight)

The Brisbane Private Hospital Mentorship Program is a 6-month program providing a positive and supportive environment in which graduate nurses are encouraged to develop both clinically and professionally.

What does our Mentorship Program Offer?

  • Extensive orientation program

Selection Criteria:

  • Registration with AHPRA or eligible for registration
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
  • Flexible to undertake part time employment on a 7- day rotating roster
  • High-level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of customer focus
  • Professional self-awareness
  • Reflective practice
  • Enthusiasm and motivation

How to Apply:

  • Letter of introduction, including rationale for applying to the Brisbane Private Hospital RN / EN Mentorship Program
  • Current Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages) with at least two references (one referee must be a clinical teacher, preceptor, or other senior nurse that you have reported to at a clinical placement)
  • Provide your most recent academic transcript with result legend
  • Include copies of your final assessment of two recent clinical placements
  • Include two relevant (acute surgical or rehabilitation) appraisals completed by yourself and the facilitator at your clinical placement (please contact us if you are unsure of this)
