IBM 2022 Asset Management Support Intern - Sydney

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Asset Management Support Intern, you will have the opportunity work alongside the Technical Support team, monitoring customer cases across Asia Pacific in relation to asset management products. This role will provide the successful candidate with experience working in a fast-paced, global organisation, as well as the opportunity to further develop their technical skills in a professional and friendly work environment.

As an Asset Management Support Intern, you will:

  • Monitor queues for severity 1 (urgent) cases and assign them, or notify Dispatchers in other geographies
  • Communicate with clients via email and over the phone
  • Handle cases from other software teams and assist with reassigning cases to support teams in the UK and North America
  • Have an opportunity to perform Level 1 support role
  • Manage updates for the online team Wiki and work on reports / analytics
  • Get involved with projects run by the Australian Development Lab
  • Shadow professionals outside the immediate team to gain exposure (onsite consultations, pre sales demo’s, etc)

What skills and attributes do I need to be successful in this role?

  • At IBM we are interested in people who have a passion for technology. For this role, candidates pursuing studies in the following areas would be well-aligned: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, other degrees with a technical focus.
  • Customer service experience is highly desirable, in particular a good phone manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as working independently when required.
  • A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.

This is a full-time internship over 12months, commencing early Feb 2022.

  • Have less than 2 years relevant full-time work experience,
