Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM’s success. Individuals will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection and reuse of IBM’s intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.

The Security Graduate will be part of IBM Security Service – Consulting and System Integration (C&SI) team in ANZ. The graduate will be a security consultant for client engagement and conduct security assessment. This includes:

  • Performing analysis, document findings, provide recommendations
  • Performing quality review of final work products.
  • Applying different consulting methodologies \\ framework and ability to adapt to tailor to client business requirements
  • Providing an advisory role to client in Cyber Security Policies \\ Control and operational effectiveness


Must be able to utilize consulting skills and business knowledge based on accumulated experience and education, IBM’s intellectual capital, aligned to practice business objectives. Demonstrates required skill proficiencies.


Acts as an independent professional, including interaction with clients and does not require close management supervision on IBM or client premises. Operates as a team member, drawing upon the experience of other professionals within the engagement team and from other functions. Is able to articulate and compare alternative approaches drawing from previous engagements and recommend solutions. Draws upon existing intellectual capital and improves it. May create new intellectual capital. Negotiates effectively with specific (given) objectives. Contributes to the definition of the engagement scope of work and outputs.

Problem Solving:

Recognizes problems related to the engagement objectives and suggests solutions. Creativity, judgment and engagement management skills are applied to consulting engagements or phases of medium/large engagements in drawing conclusions from fact gathering and guiding clients. Independently generates solutions, based on strong quantitative and analytical skills and business knowledge, and contributes to intellectual capital. Challenges the validity of given procedures and processes to enhance and improve or develop complementary adjustments/solutions.


Manages work priorities and methods, for example tasks within engagement schedules, and analysis methods. Understands and can articulate generic and competency-specific methodology to client and engagement team members. Understands practice business objectives. Works with a sense of urgency and is alert to opportunities for follow-on business with the client. Develops specialization and provides advice in a market / industry/ competency area. Manages routine engagement activities and may lead small teams which may include people from other departments. Participates in the knowledge sharing activities.

Impact on Business/Scope:

Accountable for individual results (delivery of research, interview data, and presentations), and those of teams led.
May participate in engagement planning. Identifies, estimates and presents costs, schedules, and business risks associated with specific tasks or activities. Works directly with clients through middle management levels. Supports activities that affect client satisfaction. Supports activities that impact expenses related to client relationship skills, methods of conducting and presentation of data, identification of follow-on work. May have budget responsibility for tracking engagement expenses

Required Technical & Professional Expertise:

  • Must have a Bachelor ‘s degree in their chosen fields
  • Background in Security, Compliance or Risk Management.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) for client / end user interaction

The successful candidate must hold Australian citizenship, and graduated no earlier than 2020, with less than two years experience. All candidates must have a credit average.
