About the Opportunity: Graduate Archaeologist - Melbourne
Jacobs environmental scientists, engineers and technicians perform a variety of environmental clean-up work for our clients across multiple markets and industries. Our environmental solutions include Environmental Assessment/NEPA, Ecology, Air Quality & Acoustics, Communications & Engagement, Landscape & Heritage and Sustainability and Environmental Management services.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Graduate Archaeologist to join our Heritage, Ecology & Marine Science team in Melbourne in 2021. Our successful candidate will undertake research and assessment of Indigenous and/or historical heritage values. This will include undertaking field survey and excavation where required, reporting on results of fieldwork; and processing and analysis of artefacts. You will be part of a team that provides cultural heritage services across diverse sectors and a broad range of clients including State and Federal government, water authorities and private developments.

The successful candidate will:
- Have completed your degree by January 2021 (Honours degree in Archaeology or post graduate degree in closely associated field e.g. Heritage Management)
- Be technically inquisitive
- Possess strong leadership skills
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
- Communicate exceptionally well
- Ask questions and challenge the norm
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
