About the opportunity

The Communications and Stakeholder Engagement discipline is playing an increasingly critical role in the delivery of successful engineering, infrastructure and construction projects. We are seeking a Graduate to join Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team at Jacobs. Communications and Stakeholder Engagement professionals play a key role in ensuring all project stakeholders and communities are well informed and engaged.

Your new role will require you to be a confident communicator. It will provide opportunities for you to work in a variety of contexts and projects across a range of sectors including transport, utilities, renewable energy and water. Based in our Melbourne office, a supportive team will mentor you in the industry standards required of a contemporary Communications and Stakeholder Engagement professional. You will become competent in a range of skills including the identification of project stakeholders, co-ordination, management and delivery of stakeholder and community communications, management of stakeholder needs and community enquiries, and the design, production and distribution of a range of communications across digital, written and verbal communication channels.

Ideally you will have studied for a degree which includes courses in either communications, journalism, corporate, government, public or community relations, social sciences, sustainability, policy, planning or project management with a view to establishing a career pathway in Communications and Stakeholder Engagement. Vital to your success in this role you will have exceptional interpersonal skills, an ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, confidence with technology and strong attention to detail for records management, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
