What is the Link Group Graduate Programme?

Our two-year rotational graduate programme aims to develop your career within a collaborative and evolving organisation. Alongside your role, you will undertake a variety of face to face and virtual development workshops, building your skills & capabilities in areas such as personal brand, relationship building, communication styles and skills, and building resilience. You will also gain exposure to senior leaders by way of exciting business related projects.

Each of our graduates will have an assigned mentor and a buddy throughout the programme, to provide support and guidance along the journey.

Our Technology Division

The consistency, application and controls of our systems is significant and that is due in large part to our ability to enable our operations with innovative technology solutions. Having a strong Technology function puts us at the forefront of this innovation

Our core businesses are complemented by our expertise in digital solutions and data analytics, and enable us to provide a complete service to our global network of clients and partners

Our dedicated Technology division manages day-to-day operations, data processing and information analysis, utilising innovative technology to provide our clients with end-to-end solutions as well as a range of value-added services. Our continued investment in our proprietary technology platforms allows us to automate wealth management workflows, manage large consumer and member bases or provide insights through predictive analytics. By focussing on product and service innovation, our Technology division has evolved to become an innovative provider of solutions, identifying and anticipating the needs of clients across Link Group.

We’re recruiting for two graduate roles within our Technology Graduate Program:

Graduate Analyst Role Overview

The responsibilities of our Graduate Analyst role include:

  • Provide project related coordination and administrative support
  • Support the management of projects as well as tracking and reporting on Programme projects.
  • Assist with project management activities including planning, reporting, change control, document management & resource demand management.
  • Support with business analysis and business requirements for organisational change, projects and enhancements and supporting project managers in delivery of quality project outcomes.
  • Support the client delivery teams in the day-to-day management of operational activities and specific areas of client delivery
  • Build and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the team in their efforts to meet client objectives – understanding, anticipating and managing the needs and expectations of clients

Experience & Personal Attributes of a Graduate Analyst:

  • Ideally a combined Commerce/Information-Systems or Information Systems undergraduate degree
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel
  • Team Player
  • Clear, confident communicator, both in writing and verbally
  • Excellent attention to detail - reliable, well organised with ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Take initiative and be resilient, positive, and enthusiastic
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Questioning mind
  • Develops relationships with customers to understand their needs
  • Committed to the provision of excellent service to customers

Graduate Application/DevOps Role Overview

The responsibilities of our Graduate Application/DevOps role include:

  • Assist with test execution, planning, scoping the testing required, estimating the effort and duration of testing, and determining environment requirements
  • Support the analysis of business requirements and where necessary production business requirements in order to develop configuration specifications for required system changes.
  • Assist the business with clarifying requirements and identifying alternative solutions.
  • Support the team to build, test and document specifications for configurations system changes.
  • Logging and accessing configuration solutions within the JIRA database and thoroughly documenting the status of all client liaisons and communications.
  • SQL query writing to support analysis and implementation tasks
  • Assist the Application Support team to provide IT support related to the Link group business applications and interfaces ensure 24x7 availability.
  • Support such tasks as diagnosis, resolution, root cause analysis of issues, identify and document problem workarounds
  • Support the development of solutions and provide support for scheduled release upgrades and deployments.

Experience & Personal Attributes of a Graduate Application/Dev Ops:

  • Ideally a computer science or similar undergraduate degree
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel

What Happens Next?

Once you have submitted your application, this will be reviewed by our graduate recruitment team. You will then be taken through a few steps (combination of online assessment, video interview and interview).

These roles will start in February 2022 as part of our 2022 Graduate Programme.
