We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and organised paralegal with a growth mindset to join Macquarie’s Global Legal and Governance Group Commercial team.
 
This role will be engaged on a casual part-time basis, two days per week.

What role will you play?

In this role you will provide both paralegal and administrative support to a collegiate central legal team that is responsible for advising Macquarie Group’s offices globally on a variety of supplier and other commercial contracts. You will work on strategic projects in focus areas such as technology, telecommunications, real estate and business services.
 
Under appropriate supervision, you will support our Lawyers with contract review, legal research, and drafting simple precedent-based contract and legal documents such as powers of attorney.
In addition, you will undertake administrative tasks such as filing, contract functions, meeting materials and preparation, and reviewing various legal documentation.

  • Experience working as a paralegal in a busy law firm or inhouse legal team
  • Legal research skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently in a dynamic and delivery focused team environment
  • Pragmatic mindset, ability to prioritise and perform under pressure in a sometimes-demanding environment
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills in Word, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in the organisation and management of files, records, and documents in a matter management system such as Sharepoint.
