Commencing in January 2022, for a period of two years, we are looking for a Cadet Town Planner and Cadet Building Surveyor to join our organisation.
Both these roles provide a solid foundation for building upon your studies by undertaking a cadet program within local government. You will have a training plan developed specifically for you, giving you the opportunity to also obtain practical experience. Do these roles sound of interest to help you progress your career?
To be successful in either if these roles you will:
· Be experienced in effectively prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines and continuously improving
· Have experience or understanding in undertaking research, analysis and presentation of information
· Have a current Class C driver’s licence
The Cadet Town Planner position is only suitable for those who will finalise their degree qualification in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Science or a related discipline, within two years (by December 2023), with the ability to study part-time, as you will be given one day per week paid study leave.
The Cadet Building Surveyor position is only suitable for those who will finalise their degree qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, within two years (by December 2023), with the ability to study part-time, as you will be given one day per week paid study leave.
These Cadets positions are temporary full time (two-year contract) with a salary range of $47,704 up to $56,628 per year including 10% p.a. superannuation. Council will also pay for those subjects in your final year of study and give you access to staff benefits such as flexible working arrangements & fitness passport.
