2023 Graduate Program – R&D Taxation

Moore Australia (Vic) are looking for curious and motivated Graduates to join our Taxation division in February 2023.

The graduate opportunity in our Taxation division is the perfect opportunity for those who looking to embrace Research and Development in a professional services environment. If you are a curious learner and have strong critical thinking skills, this role will give you the fundamental skills to embark on your career journey.  

Graduate Program

  • In your first 2 weeks as a Moore Australia (Vic) graduate you will participate in a structure Graduate Orientation.
  • The Orientation Week consists of a mixture of activities including; getting to know your colleagues, your buddy and your team; introductions to all our service lines by various managers from each division; systems training; compliance programs; external speakers and lunch with our CEO.
  • You will take a deep dive into your chosen service line, with a comprehensive training program to gain a strong understanding of your new role, equipped with the skills to move your career forward.
  • You will learn about all the Learning and Development opportunities available to you, including the CA Program, and our ongoing Moore Australia Graduate training programs.

As a Research and Development Graduate in our Taxation team, you will be involved in:

  • Preparing applications to a range of government funding programs, including the R&D Tax Incentive, Accelerating Commercialisation, Export Market Development Grant and Modern Manufacturing Initiative. 
  • You will prepare written descriptions outlining the business’ project and how it aligns with the program’s eligibility criteria.
  • Analysing financial reports and underlying data, preparing supporting documents for submission to government. This will include assisting clients prepare project budgets, cash flow forecasts and R&D Tax Incentive schedules.
  • Communicating with government and clients throughout the preparation and lodgement of government funding applications.
  • Interacting with the wider Tax team and developing a breadth of knowledge on the interaction between government funding and other tax considerations for businesses.

  • Strong interest in R&D with an background in Commerce/Business
  • Tertiary qualification in  Science/ Engineering/Commerce/Business/Accounting
