We've always taken pride in being a company that supports people for who they who are, no matter what their sexual orientation.
Our [email protected] group provides a fantastic support network for our employees who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex (LGBTI), and continues to raise awareness across the organisation. The feedback is that the [email protected] group is a big part of the reason that more and more LGBTI employees are coming to work each day feeling comfortable in their own skin.
We also work with external partners like Pride in Diversity, the only not-for- profit workplace program in the country designed specifically for the LGBTI community. Pride in Diversity run the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), and this year, we were awarded a 'Gold Status'.
And we're just as committed to supporting the wider LGBTI community - advocating and supporting events including the 2018 Midsumma Festival in Melbourne, the Fair Day at Brisbane Pride and partnering with the AFL to create the NAB Challenge Pride match, which raised awareness and acceptance of LGBTI communities in sport.
Additionally, we partnered with Pride in Diversity, to host internal LGBTI Awareness Training Sessions across Australia to increase the awareness of workplace inclusion.
We want our LGBTI employees and customers to be proud of who they are, because we’re just as proud to stand alongside them.
