Factory Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Factory Analyst to join our Uncle Toby’s Factory in Wahgunyah. In this role, the Factory Analyst will support the Factory in the pursuit of cost optimisation and compliance at the factory by providing visibility and insight into manufacturing variances. This will include the suggestion of corrective actions based on sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.


  • Provide a Finance ‘co-pilot’ to the Production Team in the pursuit of cost improvement opportunities projects by challenging assumptions, providing savings estimates (including timing) and helping prioritise initiatives. Work as a co-pilot with the Production Manager; assist in setting appropriate direction and supporting the factory in delivery of results.
  • Coordinate reporting of actual costs and preparing for period-end close (PEC): preparation of input data such as labour hours and ensuring that the Costing Standards for Manufacturing (CSM) are followed.
  • Participate in business planning: assist the Factory Controller in preparing the inputs for the Budgets (SCB/ACE) and Dynamic Forecast (DF) including the challenge of assumptions, working with factory management and staff to gather information, assist with preparation of presentation and sign off with management.
  • Active participation in NCE Operational Review meetings (i.e. DOR, WOR) and provide costing/variance information for measures as well as decision-useful information such as loss tree analysis and opportunity mapping. 
  • Assist the Factory Controller in communicating financial results, opportunities and actions to all stakeholders across the organisation.


  • Joining a collaborative team, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Formal Finance/Accounting qualification of appropriate level (degree or similar), preferably CPA.
  • 2+ years’ experience as an Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing / factory or supply chain environment.
  • Good MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desired.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
