The Department of the Chief Minister, and Department of Treasury and Finance, offer employment to graduates as part of their workforce planning strategies. Graduates have the opportunity to begin their career with the Northern Territory Government (NTG) in an environment that continues their professional development and training within a supportive workplace.
The Graduate Programs within both agencies are designed to enhance the research, analytical and administrative skills that students have learnt at university; while providing an opportunity for graduates to broaden their knowledge and understanding of government operations. Graduates also develop high level work skills by undertaking project work.
The NTPS values diversity and aims for a workforce which is representative of the community we serve. Therefore under an approved Special Measures recruitment plan, Aboriginal applicants will be given priority consideration and preference in selection for this vacancy if they meet all essential selection criteria and are suitable at the position level.
Eligible applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen, hold Australian permanent residency status or an appropriate visa
- have completed in the past three years, or are due to complete in 2017 a degree in accounting, business, commerce, finance, economics, arts, law, social science, environmental science, international relations and
- be able to produce documented evidence confirming the qualification is recognised in Australia if holding a qualification attained overseas.
